UV PCR Cabinets and Workstations

UVP offers a complete line of UV PCR systems for control of PCR contamination. Two styles are available: standard UV PCR and HEPA/UV PCR systems. Two sizes are available: cabinets have smaller work areas than the workstations.

Please note: Products come flat-packed for customer assembly.

UV Decontamination:
UVP's UV PCR equipment creates an ideal environment for preparing PCR and other samples by reducing the chance of sample contamination. Control potential PCR contamination with the built-in exclusive 25-watt high intensity 254nm UV tubes for inactivation of DNA and RNA between experiments. Use UV irradiation as a standard laboratory practice to reduce surface and airborne contaminants in the chamber. Maintain a clean work area to save time and reduce the repeat experiments.

Decontaminate apparatus and reagents within minutes! The workstation includes a 30-minute timer to control UV decontamination. Simply set the timer to the desired time to decontaminate the chamber between experiments. A key switch operates the UV providing a means for further preventing UV irradiation of samples.

Both PCR workstations feature a safety shut-off switch which automatically turns the UV light off when the door is open, protecting researchers from UV exposure. Antimicrobial Protection:
Additional contamination control is provided with a uniquely coated stainless steel design that maintains antimicrobial efficacy. The easy-clean surface resists growth of destructive bacteria. The durable coating material contains silver ions; a safe and natural antimicrobial agent, providing continuous antimicrobial protection. It is stain and fingerprint resistant and is listed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as an antimicrobial agent that suppresses the growth of bacteria, molds and fungi on surfaces.
Efficient Work Area:
PCR equipment are designed with two sizes available. The Cabinets occupy a smaller work area than the Workstation models. The equipment provide efficient use of lab space for placement of large instruments on the work area or small items on the two removable shelves. Overhead white light brightly illuminates the work area. Four built-in power outlets allow operation of equipment within the chamber. The non-ventilated, circulation free chamber limits the exposure of equipment to an open lab environment.
Standard UV PCR Models:
Four standard UV PCR models are available allowing selection of cabinet or workstation formats and single or dual UV sources. The standard PCR models feature the UV decontamination, antimicrobial protection and efficient work areas described above. Click here for further specifications on Standard UV PCR Models.
UV HEPA PCR Models:
UV HEPA PCR Equipment features three UV sources and four-stage filter system. The UV HEPA PCR models also feature the UV decontamination, antimicrobial protection and efficient work areas described above. Click here for further specifications on UV HEPA PCR Models.
