UVP offers a wide range of filter sizes and single or multiple UV wavelength transilluminators in a compact, benchtop size. UVP's patented 3UV™ Benchtop Transilluminator (main picture) provides the selection of longwave, midrange and shortwave in one compact unit.

Transilluminator Features:

  • UVP's patented 3UV Benchtop Transilluminator provides the selection of 365nm, 302nm and 254nm in one compact unit

  • 2UV models offer 302nm and 365nm UV in one model

  • Easily view gels under 365nm longwave UV for extended periods of time avoiding photonicking damage. Researchers can use the 302nm midrange to increase the fluorescence for photodocumentation. Shortwave 254nm UV is used to irradiate samples

  • All Benchtop Transilluminator models are compact, lightweight units

  • These 8-watt models provide a low cost alternative to the High Performance UV Transilluminators

  • A variety of filter area work surface sizes are available

  • Hinged, clear UV blocking cover, included with each transilluminator, is adjustable for access to the filter surface

Intensity:  Select models offer single intensity other models include variable intensity. Refer to the part numbers tab for information.

Variable intensity settings - High/Medium/Low:   High setting allows for UV excitation of fluorophores on gels for routine photography. Medium is excellent for viewing and quick single-band excision. Low setting allows for positioning and preparation of gels, excising multiple bands, and focusing for photography.

Note about UV: UVP refers to its midrange UV products as 302nm. Other manufacturers may say 300nm, 310nm or 312nm. The spectral output of these units is the same as UVP's 302nm. Please call UVP's technical services for further information or link here to Midrange Application Bulletin.
